Research funding

GLP provides research funding opportunities for schools in Greenwich to foster the development and assessment of innovative practices.

The insights and outcomes from these research projects are shared with schools across Greenwich, ensuring that all pupils in the area benefit from the advancements made.

The application process for funding for Spring 2025 is now open.

For this bid cycle there are 4 grants of £5,000 each available.

To apply, schools need to complete the application form below by Friday 14th March. Schools should read the guidance notes when completing the form.

Funding information

Grants may be used to fund the following

  • cover hours so that staff developing the research can be released from teaching commitments

  • support from consultants or advisors to guide the project

  • small resources that are needed to deliver the research

  • external evaluations of the project

GLP recognises its responsibility to achieve value for money from all its activities and expects successful funding applicants to do the same. A payment schedule will be agreed and signed, and payments made to award holders upon agreed delivery points and/or milestones. We are a public service and so we must use public money for demonstrable public good.
