Information: NTP year-end statement submission deadline (26th Sept 2024)

Schools that received the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) grant will have received an email stating that year-end statements for 2023-2024 must be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 26 September.

Deadline dates linked to this email have been added to the GTP event calendar.

The content of the email is given below.

Why schools are being contacted

All organisations that received the 2023/24 National Tutoring Programme (NTP) grant are required to submit the year-end statement by 5pm Thursday 26 September.

Schools must report all tutoring delivered in academic year 2023/24, from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024.

Failure to submit the form will result in full funding allocation being recovered by The Education and Skills Funding Agency. Forms must be completed even if a school did not use any of their NTP funding.

Please note, if a school converted to an academy after 1 August 2024, the old establishment and URN needs to be used when completing the form, rather than the new one.

What schools will need

The year-end statement is accessed via DfE Sign-in. Schools need to make sure that the organisation they are submitting for is linked to their account.

Schools should also check how much money their school received before starting the submission.

The submission will include:

  • how much the school spent on tutoring – this is the portion funded by the NTP grant and the school’s contribution combined

  • how many hours of tutoring the school delivered – this should include every hour delivered per pupil (for example, if a15-hour course was delivered to 3 pupils, this would count as 45 hours)

  • how many pupils in the school have received tutoring – only count pupils once, even if the same pupil received tutoring in multiple subjects

School’s contact email address on Get Information about Schools must be up to date, as this may be used to send important information about any recovery.

All schools will receive an email in October confirming their recovery amount. They will receive an email even if the school’s recovery amount is £0. If they have not received this email by 18 October, schools should contact the NTP support desk urgently.
